Urban Hippie on TV!!

It was quite strange that I see my face on TV in Japan. It was filmed for 5 days in Sep and broadcast Mid Nov in some part of Japan. (Unfortunately it wasn’t nationwide) And I received DVD from Yomiuri TV then uploaded on Vimeo. Now everyone can watch it!! It isn’t subtitled in English but at least you can see how I produce Miso in a shipping container in Nelson.

The show called “Gutto Chikyu-bin” is basically filmed what I am doing in NZ and showing to my family. So the show connect me and my family. I have not been back to Japan for 8 years now and started Miso business 3 years ago that makes more difficult to go back. After I saw this show then finally got a air ticket to Japan.

It is great to see my mum and my younger sister on the show as well as some friends from Nelson.

Urban Hippie products were placed on E-cube magazine.

Urban Hippie products were placed on an Auckland local free magazine called “E-cube”. I am sorry that the magazine is all written in Japanese. So it will impress me if kiwi can understand what it says. Fortunately, website URL and contact e-mail address are written in English!!!

Nelson Japanese Film Festival

First time ever Nelson Japanese Film Festival will be hosted by State Cinema and Nelson Japanese Society at Suter Art Gallery from 10th to 12th August. They will show 10 different films which include Japanese cartoon, family, Samurai even Japanese horror. I wanted to watch the horror movie. But it is refused by my wife…. I don’t know what I want to watch it. So many films that I can choose from.

I recommend that you book your seat in advance. Go to www.statecinemas.co.nz and switch to Suter.

Hi guys! Finally officially launched Urban Hippie Web Site!! It took me a long long time as I am not a PC geek : ) But this is it!!
